Abstract
The Iranian opening to Hamas after the 1993 launching of Clinton’s Dual Containment Policy in the Persian Gulf has established a twenty-years partnership, whose stability vacillated after the Syrian revolt; Khaled Meshaal’s choice of position, however, does not reflect that of a not monolithic movement in which prevalent are the choices ofGaza leadership. Situation on the ground currently sees Haniyeh/al-Zahar’s line having the upper hand, towards a stable presence of Hamas among the Shia axis, while Operation Cloud Pillar’s consequences heightens detachment between Israel and Palestine.
